Every Month we will be posting a new Little Therapy from Fr. Stephen's new book,(Little Spiritual Therapies/87 Steps To Heavenly Joy). It is time for Father to slow down a bit. The Conference Letter has come to a close but his mission and wisdom will continue on. We bless the many of you who have received Father's Conference letters over the years. February 2009 As The Entire Universe Operates With A Harmonious Oneness, So Are You To Have A Oneness Within Your Human System. May the loving Father give to you whatever grace you need most at this moment. Trusting Him will open the door to His Fatherly Heart and obtain for you your immediate need. Allow your “ego power” to come down to zero so that you can put your will into His care and coast along in doing what it is that He wills for you at this and every given split second. You may not realize that all around you and throughout the world, there is a tremendous amount of anger. You are exposed to it daily. Why? Why is it the predominant characteristic of our day? It is because the two Great Commandments given to the world by Jesus are being ignored. Remember them? “Thou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart etc., and your neighbor as yourself.” I ask you now to put the emphasis of your thoughts on the last one, yourself. The world is saturated with selfish love, but a genuine self-love is hard to find. There is a world of difference between these two. Selfishness is when a person is self-centered and grabs for himself/herself whatever he/she wants without any thought whatever on anyone else, even to the extent of harming another who might get in the way. Self-love is when a person gives to himself/herself whatever he/she would give in love to another. Such a one is Christ orientated. This is the sort of love of self that I want to bring to your attention. With a proper Christian love for yourself, being composed of a body and soul, you are expected to give to your body what it truly needs to healthily house the soul. You are to give to your soul whatever it needs to ultimately arrive at its destination, Heaven. Your body and soul must be friendly to each other. Neither one is to do to the other what is harmful to it preventing it to carry out in justice what, under God, it is to be about. The body needs loving care. To abuse it by over-excesses in food, drink, work, recreation, and a few other things, is not only detrimental to its own health, but also prevents the soul from doing its best. On the other hand, you can pamper the body so much so as to give it undivided attention, thus failing to give the soul its proper due. It is the responsibility of the soul to provide the body with whatever it needs to function properly. The soul, with its mind and will, also needs loving care. With its mind it must be allowed to search enthusiastically to find one’s purpose in life, to explore priorities within the realm of truth. With its will, it is to implement whatever the mind presents to it as something good, wholesome and pleasing to God. When you achieve an orderly life, lovingly giving to your body and soul what God wishes each of these to have, you will enjoy peace of mind, peace of heart, and peace of soul. This peace will drive all anger out of your system. Out of love for yourself, working diligently with God’s grace, your peace will do a great service to God, to yourself, your family, and it will serve to quell at least a bit of the anger in the world.
